Hi Friends, In trying to update my profile picture I stumbled onto a '55 Rod and Reel like mine! I found it on Flickr and narrowed it down to this album. www.flickr.com/photos/31438555@N08/albums Hopefully the link will go through. If not, click on Mandalshells photostream link and then Click on the 55 Rod and Reel album. It has a bathroom and a shower unlike mine which came with a heater and nothing else. I just pm'd the owner of the album through Flickr to see if I could get any more information on it. Waiting for a response. Then, I read the description of the album. In it was just this: T his trailer was kind of passed down to us, not sure what were going to do with yet. At first we thought we could restore it but that would be a big expense, then we thought of salvaging what we could. But for now, its sitting in our yard. It was pretty messy inside but in good shape. I don't think it got used very often and there's very little water damage. Manuals to the refridgerator and the oven were in the trailer as well as the original paper plates from the dealer.I cringed when I read that they were considering salvaging what they could. My heart sank and I got sick. I have no idea how old the album is. Maybe the trailer is long gone. It was nice to see outside of an inch of dust, the interior wood was in good shape. And then I saw the brown Rod and Reel stripe. Curious color. Mine has what I think was originally a baby blue. I will post any news of a response. Cheers, Rod

Hi Rod,
I took a look at the album and it appears the photos were taken on October 22, 2009. Do you see the same thing? If so, probably not a good bet this owner still has it around? But you never know...
Good luck and please provide an update when you get any more info.

Fingers are crossed that you might be able to "steal" this one. In the photos it looks like a fantastic restore candidate. They were on the right track, that it costs a fortune to really do a restoration correctly, so maybe they would "salvage" the whole thing in one piece to someone who could. I love seeing the goodies that get left packed away for ages inside. The pink cups and plates are the real treasure. Do keep us up if you get any response.
