He has his finger covering the ceiling and pillows thrown strategically to conceal...what?
And no photo of the front corner inside and out.
It has potential but (IMO) the price is way too high if skin needs replaced.
It's always fun window-shopping on a cold day. I'm in Honduras, so make that a hot day.

$100 per foot? Nope... Not in a million years. $300 tops. It does have the wings though

I kind of like it...but I like everything so probably not so good at estimating the true value as it sits. Based on photos alone, I would pay $750 if close by and could be towed home safely. But I'm a glutton for punishment, and to me it's worth that much just to stare at it occasionally!

Notice that all the interior photos are taken from the entry. This seller is too dang lazy to even go in and clear the thing out for photos. He/she doesn't derserve $750.
If all you want to do is own it and look at it, and that's worth $750 to you, then by all means buy it LOL.... I never ask people to give up things they are in love with for any reason. But as a restore candidate, it's not worth more than $300 to me. Then again I know exactly what it's going to take in time and money to get it up to my standards. It's a total rebuild. Just to get it safely home and registered will cost a minimum of $500 and that's if you live near it. So at $750 selling price, plus getting it home and registered you now have $1250 into it before you even walk inside. I just don't have money to throw around like that.

I agree if it costs you $500 to get it home and register - wow! I'd tow it home myself and register it for $50 here in Minnesota. Sure am glad I don't live in Nevada!

Everyone looks at the cost and not the worth. To me I see: $300 for windows, $200- stove, $65- shasta emblem, $150 - wings, $40- door handle, Id say go for it. You can always part it out. Really looks like a rebuild candidate to me though. You need to get it for under a grand though.

You are absolutely correct...thus my original offer of $750. Not sure about the demand for windows but the door handle is a Bargman and probably closer to $150. The frame would make a nice utility trailer, and the aluminum siding is worth a few bucks at the scrap yard. The hand pump faucet, gas light, water tank, etc, etc. Plenty of goodies to make it worthwhile in my opinion!

Don't forget the labor involved in not only removing the parts, but cutting up and disposal of the rest of the trailer. In most places you can't just haul the rest of the trailer to the dump. You must cut it all up in to small pieces and scrap it. Lot's of torching and the gas costs money. Lot's of metal blades will be ruined. Lot's and lot's of time will be involved. I know what it takes. Been there and done that many times. My time is worth $30 an hour. What is yours worth?

Where I am here in Central Canada, its hard to find these old trailers in any condition. Usually the hunt would lead to long distances of driving. That costs money and time. Then when you find one it will most likely need work just to make it towable. Around here it would usually be a field or barn find and not the greatest condition.
I have not been a member here long. I have a 61 Airflyte and have noticed people also refer to these old Shasta as a 1500. Same trailers? I notice this one in this topic has the louvered front side windows.

The Airflyte is a tad longer and has that extra little sideways window between the kitchen and the sleeping area. And the only difference between the ones with the Jalousie windows in the front sides and the Solid glass windows is the year. In 1964 they made the change from solid glass to Jalousies. I place my value in rarity... So if a trailer is rare in your area and you would have to travel 1500 miles to find one for a cheaper price then yes. It will be worth it to go for the price in your area to save on trip costs. You have to balance it all out in your own mind as to whether or not a trailer is worth it or not.

I'm not sure "parting out" really fits the spirit with which this forum was based in the first place...to each their own.

I part out a trailer once in a while but I keep the parts for my own use and have given many parts away to needy trailerites. As I keep saying.... Welcome to the biggest scavenger hunt of your life.
