I have a 62 Shasta oasis and I just mounted my fresh water tank over the weekend. I ended up pulling a 6.5 gal tank from a palomino pop up tent trailer, and I have to say if fit like a glove under my dining bench seat. I also placed a drip pan under it and piped that out through the floor in case of leaks. I also ran my drain hose through that same hole. I decided to not go with black water tank I only have a sink, no bathroom. I decided to plumb the pipe from my sink drain out behind the rear tire with a spiket vale so I can connect a garden hose and run it out 20 feet and let it drain that way.

I agree, a grey tank isn't really needed and there's not much room in a 54... Many had a small fresh tank in the cabinet above the sink with a spout to run into the sink. It held about 2 gallons. The dinette can handle a small tank pretty well; the biggest is 8" high x 16" wide and 18" long. They are available thru most RV stores or online: www.ebay.com/i/302585897895?chn=psThis type of tank comes with threaded knock outs on either end. You must install the fill. It's not difficult; drill a hole the size of your fitting and glue with ABS glue. Running the sink drain down thru the floor is what most of us do. With hose threads on the end, it's easy to run a drain hose away from the trailer or drain into a tote to collect the grey water.
