I have a 1965 Shasta 16SC. This light is above the dinette table- under the scalloped-edged cabinet. Does anyone have a picture of the original glass cover that went over this? I am presuming it is original- as everything else seems to be so far Thanks !!

It probably is one of the frosted grape vine types: 57shastadeluxe.shutterfly.com/pictures/222The lip on the globe is slightly less than 3 1/4". The light fixture is about 3 1/2" give or take. They are hard to find bulbs for, as the globe is fairly shallow. Pretty tho.

Yep, you can see mine that fell off on the ride home, luckily it didnt break. I set it on the counter for safe keeping. They have the same globe for over the dinette and sink. They do sell a very similar globe at menards if you need to replace them. IMG_0132 by Mel L, on Flickr

Here is the light as I am looking up under the scalloped edged cabinet. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/126814716@N02/37702534615/in/dateposted/" title="IMG_0417"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4564/37702534615_ff3ebd21fb_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0417"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Now I am thinking it is not original. Thoughts? Thanks

I don't think it's original, especially the cord and plug. Haven't seen that particular fixture in a trailer before.

Take your time on light fixtures. I know of two that are slightly larger but have the grapevine globe. It won't fit yours, but changing them out is an option.
10 bucks each; shipping is a nightmare unless you know a dealer/shop owner who will help. I'm North of Seattle.

Weird. I understand now it was probably not original. Am I to assume that the original globe style light should be there? Hmmm...no electric box in the cabinet so I am confused. I would think there would be some wiring or signs of wiring visible for the original light. Oh well- I want to add a globe light there- so when we get to the electric I can just put in a box. Just wondering what was original- and this is odd.

just searching for some photos of your model camper and they might no actually had a light right there originally. I know the Compact and the Airflyte do because I have both campers. But not convinced the 16SC did. Hmmm..very interesting! I bet there was never one there. Thanks a ton for searching for me...that was very helpful

If you want one you can buy them at Home Depot in the lamp department and you can use 12vdc bulbs that they also sell there. You really have to look hard for the bulbs at HD. Bottom row and all the way to the right usually. Like on the floor bottom row. 25 and 50 watts. 25 watts are usually sufficient.

The two lamps closest to you are the ceiling lamps VTS sells. The one over the dinette was something the owner sent me.
