Tis is probably outside the scope of this site but I'll ask anyway...
Since I'm planning on building a larger camper than most, I'm thinking it would be nice to have ducted heat to the ends of the trailer. Ducted ac would be nice too. I realize that the small units you work with wouldn't really benefit as your floor plans are pretty open, in my case I'm thinking of having roughly 20% of the floor space separate from the rest basically a 4*8 bathroom with an actual door. We're still tossing around the idea of sectioning off the bedroom area which would be nearly 50% or floor space.
For these reasons a central outlet for heat would leave the bathroom and bedroom without climate control. Our current modern box has ductwork for both and it's nice. I'm not inclined to tear into a$10k camper for exploratory surgery though.
Otoh, it seems like some of you have added ac with at least minimal ductwork, usually for a floor mounted window unit to send the cool air up high. Alas picture of in process work are lacking. Anyone have pics to share or maybe links?

A thought that would possibly solve your distribution problem, instead of duct work how about using a central HVAC unit or units that would be found in a Vintage trailer then add two small fans in your wall to pull air into that section of the trailer. one high and one low with reversible air flow so that you could bring in hot air near ceiling or cool air near the floor and exhaust air back into main area to prevent pressure build up in b&b area. I would suggest small 12 volt fans (easy to reverse) with a 12 volt power supply when plugged to shoreline or run off battery or solar when boon-docking. Simple, quiet, less expensive, and takes up less space. Thinking muffin fans.

Like computer fans? That's a good idea, . Sounds like the effect would be similar to a ceiling fan. No I'm not putting one in the camper...

Yep computer fans. They can be bought for $5 to $10 and would last forever. By installing one high and one low with them flowing in opposite directions You should be very comfortable or at least the same as the rest of the trailer. Be sure to buy 12 volt fans as some are 5 volts.

The more I think about this idea, the more benefits I see, this gives the option of recirculating the air in the camper even without running heat or ac.
Now to figure out where to place an actual unit, somewhere accessable with good airflow but preferably out of sight. Back to the actual threads...

I am going all electric so I removed the gas range set window ac about 4 inches off floor designed duct work to circulate air in and out of condenser area of unit to the outside and a drain line. The cool air blows out the front and cools the whole trailer. Then built in a microwave above that leaving an area about 4 inches below counter where a toaster oven sets.

My original '76 furnace has four round outlets, only three of which are used. They're ducted to the rear bedroom, the bathroom, and under the dinette, using what looks like ordinary dryer vent hose. Much easier to install or replace than actual metal ductwork.
