Hi all. New to this forum, first post. My wife and I are shopping for an 18' travel trailer and came across a '77 Widerness. We haven't gone to look at it yet but plan to this weekend. All my correspondence with the owner has been via email. He didn't list the make and model in the listing but when I asked he responded with only "Wilderness". So, a couple of questions; is there both a Fleetwood Wilderness and also another brand that is just Wilderness? I searched the interweb and found specs for the Fleetwood but they did not jibe with the trailer listed. This leads me to believe it is just a Wilderness which brings me to question #2; Where can I find specs for a Wilderness 18? Web search was a big zero. Any help is greatly appreciated. 00j0j_2NzZ8CvijF1_600x450 by Brendan Foley, on Flickr

Welcome Brenjen.
Sorry, not up on Wilderness trailers.
The trailer is newer than most of our vintage trailers and probably is fully "self contained". That means bathroom and holding tanks to deal with. A 77 will tend to be just as rotten as one of our old hams, maybe more so.
Do some reading here before you bite the bullet.

I'm pretty sure it's a Fleetwood trailer.

I had one, look for rot under front window, pull goucho all out and inspect inside the compartment around water tank, inspect closet inside the door to the left at the top left corner and back angle seam, inspect storage under that closet at the back for a soft floor, get all under it in the back and inspect tanks with a flashlight for cracks, take a ladder, look at the caps on the vent pipes, inspect the seal on the refrigerator vent up there and the 2 air vents. The fold down front bed windows up top are another place to inspect below them. It is a nice size camper, I pulled it with a jeep Cherokee but it didn't like hills, a tad heavy for it, not sure what the weight was, the plate/tag was faded. you can see how I know what to look for on that trailer here... vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/1605/front-interior-rebuild
