You know it's a flipflop when they paint the outside first.

I bought this when when I got my first trailer. I didn't know any better, but as I watched it, as a person who has renovated a 1913 home, I could tell right away that lots of the techniques were hacker techniques. Although he did peel up the skin on the outside in one rotted section. But other things were very much cover up. He did have a cool technique to make "fake whitewall tires" by spinning a tire against a brush with white rubber paint.

Hi Friends. Yah, I saw this too right after I bought my Westerner, but I could tell something wasn't right especially after I started viewing this endless string of complete restoration videos made by a guy usually wearing a baseball cap, had a mustache, and can be found chuckling frequently during his videos. I wish I could remember his name. (sarcasm implied) Cheers, Rod

Well this is what we as hobbiests are up against and why I stay off Face Book. It would be an endless war if I were on that medium.

He put 1980s tail lights on it. Holy mackerel! Hey! I put 2017 tail lights on mine...Autolamps just aren't easily found... There's one big difference. You're not planning on selling yours and calling it "all original." And you're right. In some ways it's easier to find the older ones. I know The vintage trailer parts folks had connected with someone who was remanufacturing the old "wedding cake" lights from an original mold for a while. Dunno where they come from these days.

taillights are the least of the problems ...I used 2 LED bus lights to replace mine rotted rusted old ones.
