I am at the place where I am wiring the towing lights on my 1975 Scotty Hilander. I am not sure how to run the lights from the location of the lights to underneath the trailer where I plan for a junction box. I would rather not have to put a hole or holes in the floor, any creative solutions?
I would rather not daisy chain my clearance lights so that when something happens they can be fixed. Seems like the more connections, the more likely one is to fail. So I had planned to have a separate wire and then to bring them together at the junction box, maybe this is not possible?

I always weld on three 1/4" bolts to the frame for the grounds, one within the trailers hitch, one midway for the trailer brakes and one at the back end for the clearance and marker lights. The routing of the wire loom is along the frame rail, I choose the left side when viewing the camper at the back. The loom is run through the back end cross frame then I bored holes going upwards through the campers cross frames up to where the tail lights are located. I used the left rear tail light for the main junction and run wires up and over and dropped down through the top frame for the clearance lights. Run another set of wires across the camper from the main junction for the right side tail lights then up and over for the clearance lights. I bored straight down through the top rails of the campers framing for the drops for the clearance lights then bored straight across, intersecting the holes and worked the wires to where the bores intersected then run them downwards for the clearance lights. Each lamp I had run the + feed wire and also a ground wire so that I would not be depending on the skin for the grounds. Where ever I needed to clamp the loom to the trailer frame I would weld on another 1/4" bolt to avoid drilling holes through the trailer frame.
