Hi! I'm a new owner to a 950lb 1969 play mor model 140. Need to get it from GA to MA. Has anyone ever moved one of these inside of a moving truck? I checked uhaul dimensions and it would fit. But no idea about getting it in or hauling it. Anyone ever try this?
Thank you!

I've had friends move cars that way before, If you can strap it down so that it stays stable it should work.

I pity the guy pulling it up the ramp into the truck.

^Exactly my thoughts! Wondering how difficult this would be. Don't some UHauls have ramps that go down pretty flush with ground? Would a ramp even support a 1000lb weight going up it? Well, thanks for your reply..I continue to look at all options for bringing her home!

all of the UHauls that I have rented just had a 3 foot wide walk up ramp in the center. Somewhere, there is a video of a guy trying to drive a car into one on some makeshift wooden ramps. It does not end well!

If you know it fits, back the truck up to a loading dock (a lot of motorcycle dealers have raised docks) and push the trailer in backwards, maybe using the MC dealer's 4 wheeler instead of trying it with your tow vehicle. Motorcycle dealers are real friendly people.

Being married to a mover for 30 years I have seen them load some crazy stuff. Yes they do haul the old vintage trailers. He would find a place with a dock door or somewherethat has the same height as the truck and back it into the trailer with car/forklift whatever would be available. Someone contacted one of the interstate movers and the receptionist told them they do not haul them, you have to let them know the size and that it is not one of the new huge ones. Then they will charge by the weight and mileage. some of the movers would probably back it up their ramps even. they load boats and all like that.
