Hey everyone,
I have a 1975 Coachman, it has HEHR 4901 Jalousie windows, and I am wondering if anyone knows where I might find replacement seals for around the glass? I have found two companies in the US, Vintage Trailer Supply and Vintage Trailer Shop. I have ordered the "Y" seals and the top seals from Vintage Trailer Shop. No complaints, product arrived quickly and as described. I ordered the "U channel" glass seal from Vintage Trailer Supply, same thing, no complaints, came quickly and was as described. My issue is that it was the wrong U channel. I am in Canada and would love to avoid paying so much for shipping and duty if anyone knows of a supplier in Canada, or even if anyone could offer ideas.
Thanks in advance!
Nathan

I wonder if regular putty would be an option ? Lay it in in layers until the putty is above the channel rim.

Vintage trailer shop has a part number breakdown by window serial number. Did you try that? They show the u shaped seal as 0114Z3

Thanks guys,
MrMarty, I am using butyl to seal the windows to the trailer.
HTChevy, That's the one I found, but I took a huge financial hit when ordering the other seals from them with the exchange rate and shipping and duty, I was hoping someone might have known of a Canadian supplier.

If anyone would know of a Canadian supplier, it would be ladywendolyn ! What side of Canada are you on? near a border?

I wonder if a person here would package them and send as a gift ? I suppose butyl would hold up better than putty tape. Maybe when I install the windows I will try the butyl. I already did the door with putty. Maybe I`ll do the window on the same side as the door but do it with butyl. That way I would know which would hold up better. Would butyl be more difficult to remove if the trailer would need to be resealed later on in the years ?

The more I see of Canadians trying to buy stuff from the US the more I see how much your own government is ripping you off. I have Canadian friends so I've seen this quite a bit. Everyone from Canada raves about free government medical but I don't see that it's worth the price you people pay in taxes and other fees. The most I can offer is that I buy stuff and send it to my friends in Canada as gifts. So you need a good friend in the US that can do that for you. Still the shipping is out of this world.

I didn't realize there were serial numbers on these windows! I still dont understand which gaskets I need though. Their site is a bit confusing. I just checked my windows, and all the side windows all start with 1626, rear is 1103 and front is 1710, but they list different gaskets for the same windows?
