We have been on our yearly trip and as usual I ask around for hidden canned hams. The locals on this island sent me up the volcano to "a great camper nobody uses". On my climb straight uphill I passes mangos, banana, coconuts and was about to give up... I found it. It actually has a hitch and wheels with a rear entry door. It is safe to say it's the best vintage camper for 500 miles. i'll keep you posted if I find anything better on another island.

I don't even know what to say. I'm laughing so hard I can't think straight. How's at least you had lunch to eat on the way?

I should have taken a photo of the wheels buried in mud.
The locals stretched the definition of "a camper shaped like a ham" to a crazy level.

Are you in Hawaii??? If so you should just say you're looking for trailers shaped like spam, you'd have better luck I think. 😂

French Polynesia. A can of ham is a foreign concept here but it would be a great place for a 12' camper. Most of the islands have tiny beach areas that would be dream sites. We're sailing to my favorite island tonight, Moorea. My wife says a camper would be all we can afford there. My dream is a 20' vintage camper (with a bathroom) overlooking the ocean. We found a site on Bora Bora cleared and ready with banana, papaya, mango and coconut trees. Dare to dream. i wish my wife would record me trying to explain "canned ham you live in" to the locals.

I am in awe, I had to go look the place up because I've never been there of course. I've heard of French Polynesia, but didn't really understand how many islands that entailed, or how gorgeous it is. Seriously thank you for sharing this place with me, I'll probably never see it in person, but that's true of many places and I love to learn about exotic locals.
My one question, is that a view out the window of a state room on a cruise ship?? If so I've definitely decided I never want to take a cruise, just looking at those waves makes me feel seasick. 😰😰

Don't be too impressed, my wife works for an airline and we fly for almost nothing. They also give us 75%-90% off cruises so it can cost us more to go camping out of state than to fly someplace. In truth, it's not the camping that draws me to this hobby it's the campers. For us, the idea of camping in a big plastic box is depressing. Bora Bora

I always find campers when I travel. I stopped asking about them for a while now but seeing as how I now have a free place to store them I think I'll start asking again. I got the last 3 for free... (except for the Jewel)

A bit of a fixer-upper but I'm sure you could do wonders with it. You could round those corners.
