I have Armstrong peel n stick tile in my basement. It's been there for over ten years now and it is our rec room... really big area and has lots of traffic and play. It has held up fabulously. And the temperature is not constant in our basement. That stuff is REALLY sticky. Don't buy the cheap off brand stuff because the vinyl coating on it is very thin.

I wonder if all the movement of the trailer going down the road would cause problems with the tiles staying in place. You can use other adhesive to try and help keep it in place better, but then when you compare it to vct, it makes me see vct as the better alternative.
This tile is 0.08 in. thickness, while vct is 1/8 in. Thick. With VCT 1 case covers up to 45 sq. ft., while this one you picked covers 30 square. ft. Of course with the peel and stick, there's no need for polishing, so that's one step less.
I guess you just need to decide if you want to use a very thin tile that may not last as long and save yourself some work, or go with something that requires more work but will last longer. Of course, now that you have the Airflyte you may sell this one, in which case I'd go with easier 😉

Believe me, those sticky tiles are sticky! They do not slide, unlike the adhesive used for the VCT. There's no guarantee under extreme temps that the vinyl won't contract and expand so I would put them down when the temp was mild.

That was until I saw this peel and stick I like...so my choices are just between those two.

as nice as the peel and stick are they don't have the same "look" of vct. vct lends itself to the older style and i think most ppl here want that vintage look...just my guess.

I've never installed them but have had to remove them and they are terrible to try and remove. I don't think I would ever install them in a trailer. Kind of tacky if you know what I mean... no pun intended LOL..

I haven't used them before but I imagine they would work fine if the floor was very smooth. (luan) I like the glue version because the adhesive makes up for chips and imperfections in the floor. And it has been proven on a home that rolls, bounces and shakes.

I have used them and was VERY UNHAPPY. They came with the Deluxe, so I went ahead and installed them. It was cool weather and they seemed to stick well. I took the trailer to our Fall rally and the tiles came "unstuck". The mild sunlight at the entry door buckled the flooring as soon as it warmed up. I would never recommend sticky tiles in a trailer.

I'm a little late to this party, but don't have any real hands-on experience (yet) with installing flooring. Just drawing from what I have seen in the original installations, the sheet vinyl would be my choice, especially if you are starting from a frame-up, clear floor. That way your flooring is underneath the cabinet and bed edges, and there aren't seams where edges can get caught and broken. The structure actually helps to hold the finish floor in place.

I think sheet vinyl is an excellent choice. You don't have the durability of the VCT but you don't have lines, shrinking or shifting, either.

Good move. I installed peel and stick in the cargo area and Traffic Master Allure plank flooring in the rest of the trailer. The Allure is fine, but the peel in stick is peeling up at the seams. Maybe just a crummy product that I purchased, others may be fine?

Maybe just a crummy product that I purchased, others may be fine? When I was younger, we put them in our kitchen. They peeled at each corner, so we put sheet vinyl over them. You could see them bad seams under the sheet for ever more. I will never use peel and stick anywhere. I would prefer sheet vinyl, but VCT was all I could get in the pattern we wanted and the thickness and adhesive is what keeps it down.
