If electricity is available is a small ceramic heater enough to keep you comfortable in a small camper if the temperatures drop in the mid 30's overnight? Danny

I'm sure you can find one that will work just fine. We use two older ones out in our garage and it stays about 60 - 65 on 30 degree nights and days. Ours are a few years old so I'm sure you can find better ones.

Chametzoo that heater is really big @ 15 x 27 x 6", I wouldn't know where to put it so it wasn't in the way all the time. I agree with the oil filled heater being too big for the limited space,in a larher camper I could see it being a better choice. Danny

I like a small unit with a slow blower speed as moving air feels colder. I think a couple of small units keeps the heat more even than one large unit plus usually quieter. But any heating device should contain a tip over switch and a over temp safety switch.

I love my ceramic heater. Get one with a thermostat that you can set the temp. I have a small one and it works great.

That is why I mentioned it.

Old thread but does anyone have a specific model of adjustable output electric heater that they've had good luck with? Looking for one for use in my camper which the body is about 13 1/2' long so not a huge space and not something that will be needed a lot but I'd still like to buy a good unit. Thanks

Polaris is a good brand. Your trailer MUST be wired to carry the amp load (normally 13 amps). One big amp item at a time... In other words, don't curl your hair at the same time. LOL

The propane lamp does a wonderful job of heating the dinette area when it's just a little cool outside night. My wife is insisting I reinstall the propane light on my rebuild for precisely that reason. Even the noise it makes gets to be endearing after a little wile.

We used one of the radiator looking heaters. Always ran it on low. Did a great job but a little large.

I also have the original glass fuse 15 amp circuit in my Pathfinder. I did use a small ceramic heater a couple weekends ago and it seemed to work okay. It didn't have an adjustable thermostat though so it is not one I want or regular use. I picked up a Honeywell model hhf360v last night. Going to give that a try and see how that works. It's not something that is going to be used an awful lot anyway.
