I really like the way howards feed and wax looks over amber shellac, I feel like it give it a softer/warmer(dont know how to explain) finish then clear shellac, like I am doing on the Compact. So I was thinking about doing it with my 64' Airflyte. I just wasn't sure if there is a reason not to do that? Would I just apply it over the old shellac or lightly sand first? These photos are howards over amber shellac

Almost any good quality furniture grade wax will give shellac depth. I also like Howards. Some people use 0000 bronze wool (get at boat supply places (steel wool can leave fibers that may rust so don't use it)) to apply wax but you don't need to, you could use a green scotch-brite. Be aware though that if you need to touch up the shellac you'll have to remove the waxy surface first.

Be aware though that if you need to touch up the shellac you'll have to remove the waxy surface first. How do you remove it without damaging the finish underneath?
