Can anybody tell me anything about the lav (sink) that is supposed to hang on the bracket in the shower stall on my '62 Oasis. I have no idea what they used or (more importantly) how they ran the drain. Other than guessing a straight tube down to the shower pan. DSCN0847 by vintagehotdog, on Flickr

I don't really know about the Oasis, but that bar under the faucet looks like the strips that are used on outside sinks that are removable. The sink just clips on the bracket, kind of like the brackets that hold the tables up. Here is a link to the sink I'm thinking about. You wouldn't really need a drain, it would just drain straight down to your shower drain. www.dwincorp.com/products/98/Handy-Sink

Thank you SuzieQ, that is what it would be like. I'm betting they were stainless steel. I figure a soft drain went to the floor to avoid splatter. I can't imagine ever finding an original. I've seen one lav in an Oasis that was an oval ss bowl. I'm thinking the original might have been the same one adopted with a bracket. I'll will be checking every Oasis at the rallies that's for sure.
