Hi,
Just came across this stuff called Captain Tolley's Penetrating Sealant in a Spartan restoration blog. Out of curiosity, has anyone used this or is the feeling that it's goop and don't use it?
What's your experience or opinion?
Cheers,
Rod

What would you be using it for??? From what I can see it can't replace butyl/putty tape or dicor for the vent and since it can be used as an adhesive would you really want to use it on windows or trim?

Remember... Aluminum expands and contracts with heat and cold. That is why goops of any kind never work. Eventually the bond is broken and water get's in. I have no idea how it would work on other materials but aluminum would fail I believe.

This stuff is nothing but a quick fix and a lazy person's remedy. Doesn't work. I tried it years ago.

Hi Friends,
Yes, that's what I thought. I pity the poor man who's blog I found and what will happen over time. He seemed so passionate and caring about his Spartan.
Thanks.
