I am trying to remove the sink from the counter, a task that I thought would be quickly accomplished. I removed the 8 little clamps underneath, ran the 5 in 1 tool around the 3 edges on the outside of the rim (the rim is too close to the wall on the left side t do that. The sink didn't budge. so I started to work on the inside of the rim on the left. The rim still didn't budge, but the sink began to, well, sink down. Do I put something underneath to catch it, and just keep working around the edge and let it drop? Or should I try to get the rim off, and lift it out somehow?

The sink clamps to the metal rim. Once it's that loose, pull the sink and pry the trim.

Thanks Dan. Should I keep prying between the rim and the sink then? The rim is stubbornly sticking to the counter.

Thanks Dan. Should I keep prying between the rim and the sink then? The rim is stubbornly sticking to the counter. Maybe some clamps remain? Once the sink came loose on mine, the metal rim was only held on with putty.
