We are relocating 180 miles north of here and will need to move our 22 foot 1949 M Systems trailer which is not registered, is partially skinned and has no crank down pad on the front A frame. I was thinking of hooking it to our 1971 Bronco and hiring a low bed equipment hauler to move both the trailer and Bronco at the same time. Two birds with one stone.
Has anyone ever had to move a trailer that is not road worthy?

If you have a bit of flexibility in the time frame, for the haul, you might try U-ship. The 180 miles is not a cost prohibitive shipping distance, and the tandem haul (you might not even have to hook the M-System up to the Bronco) could be done by someone with a low boy who is making a delivery in your area and having a bit of flex in their schedule, could make the "short" delivery and then move on to his/her next longer haul. Good luck. Always happy to know one of the Mississippi M-Systems is in the hands of someone who appreciates it.

We're on the move. I picked up a large tarp to cover the entire trailer and lashed it on by going back and forth underneath. Rolled it up onto a tilt bed semi truck and we're on our way.

We built a 2400 sq ft barn where I could restore trailers but due to the lack of employment in the area we had to move. Now the M Systems sits all wrapped up and the Airstream, Midget trailer and our woody teardrop are stuffed under the patio overhang. One of these days I'll get another shop where I can start the projects again. Just a brief time out.

The trailer is still wrapped up and parked behind our new house. The tarp is one large square so it should protect everything until it gets a new barn. I'm not comfortable leaving it out when it has no outside skin. Especially with all the new interior wood.
