Hey everyone, I thought it may help someone to share my little wardrobe Idea I did in the area above the wheel well just to the left of the entry as you walk into the 67 Shasta compact. For this trailer I realized that there was an easy 2 ft of space between the door and the window. If you do not mind the slight narrow walkway as you come in, this may work for you. Its not part of the original layout of course, but we love it. Its a sneaky area to be able to take advantage of. Also is still not behind the wheelwell so no worries about uneven weight distribution. Did not affect towing at all. You still have room to keep a bench below the window, we just made ours open space. We managed to get ours 4 ft tall with just a few inches above it clearance before you hit the ceiling. Plus, even with our full bed sliding all the way out from the opposote wall we still had a few inches to spare. I will just let the photos explain, I am not good at that!

We managed to make it so that it has easily accessible shelving on one side and then a small closet with dowel on the other. Surprising how much will fit. Then the platform makes a little table or ledge to put things. That also became very useful. So there you go, a 2x4 ft custom wardrobe. About as far as I go with construction!

We are still amazed at how flexible 10 feet can be. Nice job!

We are still amazed at how flexible 10 feet can be. Nice job! Oh yes! It is so much fun seeing all the possibilities! And espceially with only 10 feet, it must be done wisely and cleverly.
