I know this is an old thread, but hopefully someone will answer my question. I have been wanting to change up the taillight on my Westerner since mine were missing but I can't get anybody to give me sizes on the lights so I know they will fit. I also can't find dimensions online. So my question is, how do I get dimensions of lights I'm interested in? I'm beginning to think the car people are offended by me wanting to put classic car lights on my classic trailer.
TIA

I can give you basic dimensions of wedding cake type lights. Are you talking holes in the skin for inset lights? Any photos?

Hi Vikx, here's what we're dealing with I need to find dimensions on the lights so I know if they will fit in this hole. I have thought about purchasing a set of trailer lights and different lens, but since I can't get dimensions on the lens I can't tell if they would fit. Do you know if ladygwendolyn just swapped out the lenses or had to get new fixtures also. I wish I could get my simple question answered from a seller. Thanks for your help

They may have been Yankee Turnflex tail lights, which were used on Serro Scotty's and other trailers. You can check on eBay, they pop up every now and then or these will do the trick. The diameter is about 1/4" off of the overall, but if you split the difference when installing, they will only be an 1/8" off in diameter. Stop / Turn / Tail Light

I would patch the holes and place a surface mount light. These holes are horrible leakers; do I see rot behind? Anyway, you can use butyl under a nice round patch (reframe for the flange of the new lights leaving a middle opening for wiring). Mount the new light on the patch and it will look nice. We use 50 (ontiac LEDs but there are a lot more styles out there... Your hole appears to be 4", so most inset 4 inchers should work. Another option is the Bargman 99s from VTS. They would cover the patch plate. A little modern for your trailer tho.
