I have a 1968 Shasta Loflyte. The lights were not working so I took the old plug off. It was a mess and most of the wires were just covered in tape. I cleaned it all up, but now I have seven wires and no clue how to hook them up.

Welcome! If you're just hooking up a four prong then you will not need blue (brakes) Red (Aux. power) or Black. I've worked on a few Shasta campers and the color codes are a little screwy. I would use the above diagram as a starting point, hook up what you believe on the camper is the right wire and test it. The best advice members gave me the first time I hooked up new wires is to make sure you have a solid ground (white) to the frame.

I would go with the 7 way wiring code rather than the 4. Each have a different code: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/421/7-tow-wiringI'm guessing the whites are grounds. Check the frame and see where they go. Opposed to the 4 way: Green is TM or Tail and Markers. Brown is Right Turn Red is Left Turn Most of my Shastas have been wired this way, but there are a few that had pink and baby blue....
