So I have a few questions about this water system with photos to help me identify things. This is my first camper and am wanting to learn all I can about it so I can utilize the existing system provided it works. My boyfriend wants to take the water tank out and replace it with a newer plastic one. I personally would prefer to leave this one in it since it's the original equipment, that plus the tank looks to be in excellent condition outside and inside, I can actually look down into the tank from the filler pipe and there is no visible rust and looks just as shiny and clean as the outside of it. My questions are, how does this pressurized system work? There is no pump whatsoever be it electric or hand pump. I know it says it's pressurized to does it work solely on it pushing the water through the system via the pressure that is pumped into it? My other questions will accompany the pictures... Filler tube Is there a name for the piece below the filler tube and is it broken? I'm assuming that I hook something up to this to pressurize the tank but what do I hook up to it and again, is it broken or just missing a piece on the inside? This is coming down directly below the water tank, what does it do and how to I work it? Does it look broken or is it supposed to look like that? Pipe leading from the tank to the sink and leading down under the camper to the next pic Does this drain the water tank or just help drain the lines when not in use? Drain for sink? There is no gray water tank anywhere that I can see. I was also wondering if it is truly safe to pressurize this system to 100psi when we get this all figured out. Also, I did put a small amount of water in the tank to see if the outlet directly below it would leak anything out and nothing did. When my mom bought this camper 4 years ago she was told that everything worked on it but she never used anything but a light or two. Thank you in advance for any help in helping this newbie to a travel trailer out!

Do check out the thread as VIKX suggested,in the meantime here are the short answers going backwards:
Plastic thing: yes a sink drain. Check with the others on the rules for using that these days (I don't camp, already in the boonies) May well be a kill-able offense these days ?
Drain for lines: indeed,as well a hose bib connector (cap with chain)to draw water from a hose when available.
Tank drain: this has the broken remains of a drain **** as seen on the line drain.
Thing below water fill cap: Missing a pressure gauge.
Once those small problems are addressed I would do small incremental tests with only air pressure to see if the system even holds. I personally would be leery of putting 100 lbs of pressure in things so old. Don't see why you couldn't just add a 12v pump to the system and then not have to pressurize.
