I was checking on my construction project and I saw these across the street from the motel I was at in Colorado. I've stayed there before and there were 5. Now they're down to 4. At least my Airflyte won't be lonely. Then I saw these in Santa Fe. Six of them. They're behind a fence, with barb wire. No one was around. I'll work on finding out their story.

NC, you are right about a lack of trailers in your state. We just returned from Myrtle and drove down and back on 2 lane roads, and saw none, not a one, zip. None in SC, or Virginia either. Lots of mid 70s and newer, mostly trash. I feel your pain.

People think I'm kidding when I say this is the worst state for this hobby. I've driven all over NC, SC and VA and haven't seen a single pre 70s camper in use at any state park. Not a single camper in a field. Not a single camper in a barn. Nothing.
I literally have to drive 1000 miles to find campers in the midwest or new England. For the Compact I drove to the Utah State line and the ($1700) camper was in such nice condition we camped back for three weeks. Desert camper verses wet NC.

As shown in my traveling videos I see trailers everywhere I go. Very seldom do any of the have a for sale sign on them. If I have the time I stop and see if I can find the owners but that doesn't happen very often. I can't believe I just bought one off Craig's List LOL...

I think Canada (where I live) is really bad. less people living here, and although you see a few old trailers in fields, not for sale. I just heard though through a friend that the trailer park mine came out of had changed their rules to only allow trailers that are ten years old or less. So that explains why mine was pulled out from under the cover and offered up after all these years. The guy who told me about it, said that there have been several trailers just left by the entrance of the trailer park so he has picked them up and sold them. You don't need a title in manitoba where I live to register a trailer so it is a small burst of available vintage trailers. It won't be so nice in ten years when all the plastic and tin monstrosities that have moved in get kicked out..

Many of the trailer parks here have similar rules but I think they go to 20 instead of 10. Still stupid. I don't even know how legal it is.
