I heartily second NCcamper's advice. Your trailer is special. Take the time to discover how to do it right the first time around. You'll thank us when the build is done.

Thanks again for info... I have spent an entire day watching videos. I agree, the skin must come off! Photos will follow this week. I am having a difficult time finding 1/8 ply for the walls... But I'll keep looking. Anyone know the size of the framing boards? 1x2? And particular type of wood? Thanks again...

I make the framing a little wider where the curve allows. On flat sections I went with 1x4.

I think if you do a good job sealing it up you don't really have to worry about waterproofing the framing itself. Many of us use Tyvek on our campers as a vapor barrier.

Tyvec... Ok, I thought I read somewhere that Tyvec wasn't a good vapor barrier, and just plastic was better.
I'm trying to find 2 Windows for the for both front side windows, they were replaced with plexi glass. I'm guessing there might be other style trailers with Windows that will fir? I'd rather keep her all Shasta but, there doesn't seem to be Shasta Windows for sale anywhere. I'll measure them today and start my search...

I measured the inside of the window frames, 25.5 inches x 17.5 inches. Any suggestions of where to find replacement wondows? I will also need to replace the rear wondow, glass only... Which I think is why there is water damage. Has only I crack but I think from some neglect it allowed water in

You should be able to get glass from any glass shop, or the ACE hardware by me cuts glass also.

Those windows also leak at the gaskets. vintagetrailersupply.com may carry replacements. If not, try vintagetrailershop.com.
Never dictate a post through Siri without your reading glasses on. That's my weakness.

So finally sold my truck, and now the project begins! took off the lights, license plate and rear window and both lower j rails... then as Murphy would have it... It began to rain!! start first thing in the morning... I was surprised to see the wondow from was in great shape, even with the water damage showing on the inside paneling.... Have more pics tomorrow when I get the skin off
