Ok, so these are not like most of the newer hitches, I really like it actually. Feels more locked in place than the design of newer ones. But I wonder how you manage to lock these or padlock them? What can be done? There's no hole that would allow any lock to slide in, so I am curious what the options are. Or perhaps a lock does fit somwehere? I am sure there's a method.

See that hole right behind the cord that is draped over the tongue? There should be one on the other side, too. You put a pin lock through it. It keeps the mechanism from moving so that the collar can't come up once it is in the down position.

Ahh... now I see it from that thread thanks Mark. I even have the label saying "lock" and pointing to the hole. Haha, duh. Never seen it before till now. SuzieQ, that hole was from my ground wire I used to have, but you're right there's another one on the other side that has been there all along. I appreciate it! I am glad there's a way to secure it, whew.

That's funny. Some do say "Lock". I remember someone else discovering that after the fact. I thought that hole looked a little too far back but I knew there was one there somewhere. I have two and I put my lock through both.
