Hi newbie here not sure if i qualify for vintage i hope so-i have a 1976 prowler 5th wheel that was full of blk mold i didnt know about so im starting from frame up resto or rebuild. hoping some of your exp. and wisdom will shine a light on my dumb questions. have a good day

to our group. Black mold, so sorry, nasty, dangerous mess. You will find the majority of our group owns trailers in the mid sixties and older, with a smaller group who owns mid sixties to mid 70's. And there's an even smaller group of 5th wheel owners here. So you may be in the minority, but you are still welcome. And since you are doing a frame up, you may benefit from seeing how the older trailers were originally built. There's a wealth of info here.

Welcome to the group a trailer is a trailer when it comes to a full rebuild. As SusieQ said not to many fifth-wheels here so may be you can start a new trend. In my opinion any forty year old rebuild qualifies you to be here the only difference I see is you will need a taller ladder and more money because your project is larger. Good luck with your project, we like pictures.
