That's what I do. Shipping costs are high so it's good to bundle up your purchases. Usually when I buy window stuff I get glass seal, back frame gasket and screen all together with anything else I might need. I always need gasket material so I just buy it in bulk. Also it's getting near spring and VTS runs out of things like that.

I'm not sure if they have any seals/gaskets. I know I need the tiny little pads, probably something for the back window. It sucks I don't know what I need until I take them apart. Maybe some compact people on here might know, SusieQ, nccamper

It was too big. About all I ever do with jalousies is the rubber disks and cleaning up or repairing the mechanism and glass so it works well and looks clean. They leak no matter what you do to them anyhow LOL...

I agree with Larry. The pads are handy but the seals are really hard to make work. I had to trim one with scissors on one window. WHAT A PAIN. Also, use some liquid silicone lube when you're installing the discs. They slip in easier that way.

I open up the crimped metal that holds the disk in and remove all the glass and the disks. Then I clean the glass really well, put it back in with a new disk and crimp the metal holder back down into place. I use a screw driver to open up the crimps.

I've opened a few of the crimps, but have also broken them, so decided the slickery of the silicone lube was a little less risky...
Got a real mess on my hands with a 66 Hehr window. It's got an odd mechanism; broken in half. Will post in parts.

mobiltec I watched your jalousie windows video again. What kind of wire wheel are you using to polish your windows? I have a harbor freight multi pack, just wasn't sure if it needed to be a certain grit so it wont scratch it. Also I have one window that is very stiff while open and closing. After I clean it should wd-4 work to loosen that up? Thanks

Not polished. They can be polished but that's a lot of work LOL. Acid bath a few times first, then wire wheel. If you take the crank loose and clean and spray lube the inside then a little bearing grease on the teeth, it should work much easier. Avoid using wd40 on anything you don't want stained. Keep wd40 away from aluminum.... Remove all the glass, take the mechanism apart and lube it up and install new disks.
