This is a video I did way back in 2009 of the Mallard that eventually ended up being completely restored by John Palmer. Just thought you might like to see what he started with.

Nice to see that big ol' white dog as impressed as you guys were. Any problems with the marriage of steel and aluminum?

Nice to see that big ol' white dog as impressed as you guys were. Any problems with the marriage of steel and aluminum? That was Tabby. She's gone now but her successor Sabrina is doing nicely. She loves the trailers. Bob was thinking about hanging an aluminum panel on there and after some thought just decided to sell it. John bought it and completely re-skinned it with shiny aluminum from Hemet Valley Siding. For those who haven't seen it lately here it is last summer.

I wondered how that siding looked so good... Now I know.

kirkadie , I thought the same thing when I first looked. It is actually the bottom portion pushed out from the bottom, hinged in the middle, like the side window is. The top portion is a solid pane. Absolutely beautiful. It is so cool seeing this in it's "before" state. It was a great find. Agreed, John does great work, miss his input here.
