If you never plan on using your sink that would be fine.

So do you suggest having it re-porcelained? If that's the case, we'll just buy a replacement.

Well again if you want to be able to use it then you can either repair the chips using Porce-Fix which can be found at big box stores or on line, or you can have it completely re-porcelained... But paint will just chip and wear away.

There are no chips. Just looking to change the color. I'd love to repurpose it instead of it going into the garbage heap. I've tried selling it with no luck. Just want to change it from brown to white.

Lowe's sells a tub/sink refinishing kit. It comes in brush on and spray on. The brush on kind works really well if you follow the directions, especially the prep. I'm redoing a house now a I have bought the kit with the spray cans because that was all I could find here. I haven't tried it, yet.

This is what I bought for my tub in my rental house. I don't think this is the same brand as I bought several years ago in the brush on type, I'm just not sure, but the prep directions are a little different. Wish I could tell you for sure this one works well, but I've been holding off until last to do this because there is a significant time for it to cure.

Please let us know if it starts chipping when you wash metal pans in the sink. Something I never do actually. I like to use a plastic tub for dish washing. I try to cook outside too.

I'll report in when we decide what to try and if we do try one of these products, I'll give an update. I'd also use a plastic tub plus we really mainly cook outside too.

You might try Chris (Trailertrasher). He always has a few sinks lying around. The pink ones are the hot item it seems. I like white myself.
