I saw on VTS that the awning rail is only sold in 8ft pieces. I believe my campers awning rail is slightly longer 8.5ft or 9ft. Do you guys just buy 2 and butt them up to each other?? and there is no problems with that?? Also it looks like there are no screw holes in it?? do you make them yourself? for some reason I just figured they would already be on it.
Thanks Mel

Any good RV shop can sell you awning rail. Many are 10 feet and more on modern trailers and the rail is the same now as it was then. Old rail can also be straightened easily. Just takes a little tapping and swearing...A plus is that it's already formed to the trailer...
If you order new rail, be sure to take your old rail as an example.

I have gone to Camping World and purchased awning rails, in the past. I end up getting a 16' piece and cutting it down in the parking lot, so I can safely get it home. As for repairing or straightening out old awning rails, I picked a few of these, off of eBay and they work GREAT. AWNING RAIL SPREADER

Thanks guys, I am just needing to straighten it to get the exact size to cut the new one right? a previous owner decided to drill holes in the old rail from the top downward? it makes no since, if someone didnt do that my trailer would be in much better shape.
