Thinking that I blew my chances on the Mobil Scout I was considering purchasing, I started looking at other options. I found a small 1969 Williams Craft on craigslist for a very reasonable price. I'm unable to find much info about this company using a google search.
Anybody out there have any knowledge about Williams Craft and/or any opinion on their trailers?

I have two of them, neither restored. They are both mid-60's trailers and both have the triangular window in the door. The framing appears to be beefier than the Shastas, which I consider to be a plus although it also makes them heavier. I got this link from the TCT site for manufacturer info, and as you can see, they don't have much information either! www.tincantourists.com/wiki/doku.php?id=williams_craft#.VlxvD79SE40

I did a search...vintage Williams Craft camper...it turned up a few threads for campers from 1966 to 1969. Indeed some of them had the triangular window. I have not seen any photos of a Williams Craft canned ham, so I figure they were started up just about the time the next gen shape for units like Shastas moved beyond the canned ham shape. Here is an interesting thread from an owner of a 1966 Williams Craft...not a bad shaped next gen. That interior, although not warm glow birch, looks pretty sweet to me. Owner says it was built "right here in Arlington Texas", if I remember correctly...I just skimmed the blog. So maybe you can contact the blogger and see what she knows about the WC's. www.brandyfrank.com/1966-williams-craft-camper-before-photos/Oh, and vikx, I hope you didn't get rid of that long haired tortoise shell throw pillow in the foreground of one of your photos...it looks gorgeous!!

Vintagebruce, great info. I like the door window a lot. Odd.
vikx's cat clearly rules the house. She goes where she wants, when she wants, photos or not!

That cat is a spoiled brat and has supervised building every trailer for 8 years now... She has a new brother who harasses her regularly:
