Greeting from LA, I caught the vintage trailer bug at a the age of thirteen and since then I have been hooked! I have owned 9 campers and counting my most recent being a 1940's teardrop trailer that I'm in the process of restoring. Looking forward to being apart of this forum and learning from everyone. Here are some of my current trailers . 1952 Cadillac housecar
1953 King Late 40's early 50's homebuilt teardrop
10' x 5'5" tiny house style trailer I built

"Welcome" seems hardly enough. From the looks of your collection, it looks like we will be learning from you! Hope you are up to the teachin' task! That housecar is the absolute bomb!! I can't wait to see the details of the teardrop too.

Great looking King. I almost bought one just like it for $500 and it was complete. Shouldn't have passed it up really. John Palmer bought it two weeks later and he said it barely made it home in one piece.
Welcome to the forum.

I can't wait to see the details of the teardrop too. Thank you. The housecar is one of my favorites that I will be keeping for a long time. It is currently gutted and needs a total ground up restoration, but hopefully I will start restoring it in the next year. As for the teardrop it is totally gutted as well, but I just bought all the mahogany ply for the interior today and will start building it out this week.

I got my King back in 2008 for $1500 the interior is all original besides the dinette. Mine traveled very well on the trips I have taken it on, but now it is showing signs of rot and major water damage around the windows so I'll have to take the panels off and look at whats going on before taking it out again. Wish I would have address the problem then, but did not know better at the time.
