I am looking to try and replace an Anderson Trailer that was lost in a flood a few years back in upstate New York. I was the third generation (my daughter the fourth generation) using the trailer as a summer camp. I grew up using this trailer and spent more than 40 years in it. My father believes it was a 1950 35ft. Don't know any type of model # but I would know the trailer setup when I saw it.
Any help in this quest would be greatly appreciated by an entire family.
Thanks, Wayne

Saw this one. It is a different layout than ours with the same beautiful birch color. Ours was the same layout as the one renovated by flightcamp. If I knew how to add a link I would. It is now part of a camp ground in Oregon.

Anderson trailers come on the market at least twice a year on average, not a lot of them, but they do pop up. I am referring to the average owner for sale ad, not Flytecamp extravaganzas. To find the exact model that your family owned in the past might take a long time to find. You do not mention a budgeted amount for such a purchase, and that will also be a deciding factor. My suggestion is to keep on the search for your dream Anderson, but if you do have enough recreational $ to buy a similar era camper in the meantime, to fix up and enjoy...it might take the sting out of possibly a long search/wait. No sense in NOT CAMPING (having a summer place) at all, because one make and model is not available to carry on the family tradition. There are similar era campers in up to the 35' range that could come close to the layout and shape of the Anderson, and because that size is not the most desirable within the vintage trailer buying culture right now...you might score a usable substitute to use for a summer camp in the beautiful Upstate New York area and still not have a large $ output, in case the right Anderson does come on the market. Good Luck and to VTT.

I'm beginning to think this Flytecamp Anderson is one of the most scammed vintage trailers on the net today. While searching Anderson Trailer I ran across at least 4 ads just like this one saying the pictured Anderson was in four different states, with prices from about $3,800 to this one, on Yakaz...notice any similarity to Flytecamp's photo? Good Luck and to VTT. Just finished gutting down to the frame a 1968 Airstream Overlander that got trashed during the same flood. Ripped out the belly pan and a small rip up the side, not to mention what it did to the all original interior. I was going to restore but after all the damage we are doing a total renovation from the frame up. It goes into Collin Hyde Trailer Restoration in a couple of weeks for the frame and wiring. This will be an ongoing job for a couple of years as we work on what we can and bring it in for help on trouble areas. With that said I would love to get my hands on that Anderson, my wife gave me a small budget for that one for the time being. She knows how much that trailer meant to the family. Thanks for the input.

There are three or four of the same trailer out there for around $4,000 even though the price on Flytecamp was like $60,000

Part of the beauty of being a Member of and participating in the discussions here on VTT is a response like this. That is not to say everyone should jump in and start a thread "I am looking for my dream trailer", but although this thread is still very new, a Member knows someone with an Anderson and is willing to connect the Member. That Anderson is not currently being offered for sale, so internal word of mouth may help carry on a family tradition.

I gave a 1950-51 Anderson away last year and it is being used for storage now. I know the guy would sell it if someone wanted it. Located in southern California.
