We made it home safely with our 1962 Trotwood today. There's without question a lot of water damage. Can someone point me in the right direction on where to start first? Any good youtube videos, blogs, ect. We want to take it one step at a time. I have no idea where to begin and don't want to do something wrong. Today I cleaned it up with a vinegar/water mix and vacuumed. I removed the flooring that was down as it was basically just cut and laid on top with no adhesive. The floor underneath would be in good condition if the PO hadnt gotten stain all over it and tried to pull it up. The wood needs to be replaced under both couches and the back wall I believe will need to be replaced. The closet may also need new paneling. It used to be a bathroom so there's also a small hole in the floor that will need to be fixed as we won't have a bathroom. The stove and fridge are both rusty. The running lights on the sides need to be fixed. The back lights work fine. Anyways, a lot to be done and we're trying to decide what the first steps should be. We are so excited. Although more work than expected, I am obsessed with the trailer and can't wait to get it in good shape.

Boholady, PM me for a link to my book. It's a restoration manual/order of build PDF, similar to an eBook. Not online anywhere, but might really help you. Sample chapters available.

Between vikx's book, cannedhamtrailers.com videos and threads on this forum you'll have a really good idea what's involved.
Move slowly and have fun.

If you have bad floor it will need to be fixed unless it is a place where no one walks like under counter or under table seats, depends on what is wrong and how bad it is. Take some photos before you start so you know how it looks so you can build it back. Make drawings with dimensions and take good notes so you can build it back the way it was.
Remove all the rotten wood inside then you can see the studs in the walls. Maybe you wont need to remove the metal on the outside. Pull it apart and see what you find then you know what to do next.
Do the windows work and are they all there?
Your trailer is just like my Caveman trailer on the inside. I rebuilt my Caveman factory original with a full size bed we regretted that later full size bed was too small for us old retired folks. I should have built it back with a queen size bed.
Most camper trailers have several versions of the floor plan. Kitchen up front with 2 ft wide toilet room to the left of the kitchen. Sink might be next to stove, middle of counter top or next to toilet wall. Seats in back with table top turns into a full size bed. 2'x2' cabinets between bed and toilet can have refrigerator, storage, propane furnace, drawers depends on floor plan. Opposite wall might have the furnace this gives you more cabinet space near frig. Some floor plans put frig near the sink. Different floor plans just basically have all the same stuff in a different places. There are 8 floor plans for that trailer the kitchen and table don't change. One floor plan has no toilet the 2' x 3' room is all closet space and shelves.
