We picked up the 1962 Trotwood today. She's currently behind us as we make the 180 mile trip home. After further inspection we offered a lower price. Hoping all goes smoothly on the way home and that we don't have too much work on our hands. Couldn't leave her though. I was attached as soon as I saw it last time. We have never actually pulled a camper before so we both keep checking to make sure it's still there and together. Seems for us, the hunt is over. Although the work has only just begun.

I second the call for photos.
The first camper is fun.
Enjoy.

We started pulling up the linoleum. It would look perfectly fine if someone hadn't dripped wood stain everywhere.

There's mold everywhere. This is under the sink. I initially thought it was only in the closet area so this actually has me pretty down.

Pretty overwhelmed at this point. She made it home safely though so that's something.

I've bought much worse.
If you enjoy the process of restoration, you'll have a blast. But it is a slow process. The only way around it is to buy an expensive vintage camper restored by a pro.
One small piece of advice, don't start doing demo until you think it through. The biggest mistake I've seen people make is pulling everything apart at once.
Relax. Move slowly. Enjoy.
