Just about to take my roof off. I have 3 of these on my roof. Seems to be for extra strength at rear and at door? Is this unusual? Was it a previous hack? Do I really need them when I fix up my roof and put it back?

I agree, remove. You will have to patch the roof but can do it much more "purty" than that... Less leaks likely as well.

I think it's the post support for the upper level deck. I agree, remove them.

From what I can see of the radius edge you need a new roof. This one may not be repairable.

If I do decide on a new roof, is there any standard aluminium siding/roofing product available that I could use? Being in Canada, I don't have access to the regular RV supply chain for an proper "RV" roof (ie. all-rite). For example do regular metal/roofing/siding businesses sell rolls of thick enough aluminium? If they do in the States, they will in Canada. Couldn't find any other options on these pages.

Hemet Valley RV and Siding can make you a new roof and ship it to you. They can make that pattern also which looks like a 2 inch mesa to me. But make sure by asking Steve whom you will be ordering from. www.hemetvalleyrv.net

Thanks mobiltec, I had seen your video with Hemet Valley RV. It was very useful. Unfortunately even with NAFTA and the new TPP agreement (signed today), anything I order is easily doubled in price when you add currency exchange, duties, brokerage fees, shipping, extra overweight shipping, federal and provincial sales taxes, etc.,etc.,etc. In a recent post, a member kindly pointed out that Furrion power inlets and extension I liked were available on Amazon.ca. Unfortunately it was more than 3x the price than at vintagetrailersupply. With the special shipping a rolled roof requires to get across that border, I would expect much more of the same, thus I was hoping there was a cheaper (and thus crappier) other way with local sourcing. If thats not possible I will consider my cross border strategies! At least I have all winter to figure it out.
I have decent, free health care, but buying from the states can be harmful to my health.

Oh there ya go. Vikx may be able to help. You could just drive across the border and pick it up from Vikx. Is that legal? Or maybe do like the Mexican drug cartels do and dig a tunnel? LOL. The roof is rolled up to a cylinder smaller than a foot in diameter. Easy to transport.

If that doesn't work out check out truck repair business many of them will sell you aluminum in 8 ft x what ever length you need. Make sure you don't buy to thick of Aluminum or you will have trouble folding it over the edge.

Vikx thanks for your kind offer but I live in Ottawa. For non roof items, I plan on putting together a big order in January and driving down to vintagetrailersupply. They are in Vermont, about 3 hours from my sister in Montreal.
Bill good idea, I'll check it out.
Mobiltec: I won't be digging any tunnels! If I need a new roof from the states, I guess I will get one shipped to ogdensburg ny which is 40 minutes from me.
