I like it. You did an excellent job. The first time I did ceramic tiles in a bathroom it took me a week to do a 2 day project. But doing it yourself gives you real ownership, doesn't it? It really does. It helps to appreciate it more IMO. Both being able to do the task yourself and the outcome.

It's been a couple of weeks. My dad came down with the flu, so no electric yet. I did start building cabinets this weekend though. That's all for now. Have a great week everyone!

Like the dinettes Adam! Good work.
Tip: Be sure to check your roof very carefully for pinholes before re-installing. Just look up from underneath and check for daylight. A friend recently did a beautiful build only to have to replace the roof metal. Heartbreaking.
I got lucky on my old Aljo ham and discovered pinholes in one metal section before installing. Just a fluke, all the rest were fine.

Sorry for lack of updates. Have been spending my free time prepping the yard/exterior of home for winter months. Did take some time today to clean some of the old butyl tape off of roof skin. Also removed remaining interior ceiling panel. Then JB Marine Welded some area that could potentially be issue areas on roof skin. Finances prevent us from replacing the roof skin at this time. So I am trying to take preventative measures until we can get the funds to replace the aluminum roof. For now, that is all. Have fun!

Seal the UNDERside of the roof with sticky waterproofing tape. It really helps. Also, you can paint Proflex (NOT caulk) on the seams or iffy areas to help an old roof. It will give you several years. We frown on Goop, but realize that not all of us have the money at the time for new metal.
PM me for more info.

It was beautiful weather in OH this weekend. Got a little accomplished. I was pleased overall. This week I am hoping to get the upper cabinet above the sink built and installed. I will post pictures once completed. Have a good evening!

Built this last night and got it installed this evening. Need to pick up some more before starting the sink cabinet. Hopefully will get started this weekend. It's going to depend on the holiday being so close around the corner. Have a good evening everyone!

Those cards look like they are missing a pig Lol, Dan that is actually a dessert plate. It's about 5" x 12" or so. But you're right.....it would fit right in.

Good evening all! 60 degrees today in NE Ohio. Not bad for Dec 22nd. After work/dinner, decided to try my hand at cleaning/shining some aluminum trim. Sorry, didn't take before pictures really....though I might have some somewhere. These were acid washed with a wheel cleaner that has two types of acid. Then I used 0000 steel wool with Murphy's Oil. Worked pretty well. I was definitely pleased. Still need to buff and do a final polish. The caps came out well beyond my expectation. Unfortunately, the rust is through and they will eventually need replaced. But they will work for now. More photos to come once I make progress. Happy holidays!!

What acid wash did you use? Two were recommended to me but they're hard to find.
