What's the best way to seal a small cut in folded-over skin? I'm putting the new upper back panel on my Oasis. In order to fold the edges around a 90 degree bend, I had to make a relief cut. J-rail will cover most of it, but there is likely to be a small part of the cut in the bottom corner that's left exposed. How can I seal it?

This is the perfect place for Gutter Seal. It is durable and flexible. Do the sealant last, after the skin is tacked and the j rail/edge trim is ready to mount. I use a tiny dab at each staple and imperfection. Double check the reliefs the next day and re-apply if necessary. Here's an example of aluminum Geocel Gutter Seal (used so it would show) on my Cardinal: On most cuts/staples, I use OSI Gutter Seal from Lowes, Crystal clear in a tube. (not the caulk).

We installed our roof a few weeks ago and followed Vikx's advice and added a small dab of gutter seal to the relief cuts prior to installing tape and J-rail.

OK, gutter seal it will be! Thanks! Just for my own edification, and so that I have an answer for all of my "helpful" neighbors who offer me suggestions about how I should do XYZ, what makes gutter seal preferable to caulk, which is also flexible and durable? Is it that it's made specifically for aluminum?

Larry nailed it.
I bought some OSI gutter seal in a caulk gun and it was more difficult to use and didn't seem to cure as well. The small tubes are easier to control.
Over the last 20 years, I've used every caulk and goop imaginable. Yup, even sillycone. Gutter seal is designed to use on gutters, where it is very wet. I've had good luck with it. I do not use it on roof protrusions. Dicor self leveling lap sealant is better on top.
