I was just noticing how expensive the L-66 door handles for airflytes have become. $400 dollars on ebay used!! Is it possible to use another model in its place? The L-66-1a and L-66B were much cheaper, under $100.

This is a great question.
This thread needs a bump.

On ebay this morning....Buy it Now for only $200. Rusted-away chrome and BOTH handles broken off....neither is in production that I know of, so replacing is impossible. The real answer to the question is, people are nuts.

If you are looking for a Bargman L-66 or Bargman L-100 or L-200, I have plenty of used and new ones. Or you need your lock rebuilt I will be glad to try to help you. I will not comment on the condition of the ones above someone is trying to sell on EBay at $200 with broken handles. Pictures say enough. When you put your heart and sole into fixing up your camper I don't think having a lock like that says I care about you. Best used for parts at most. Just my opinion.

I see ADs in CL all the time for cheap campers and free campers 30 foot long. These must be unpopular sizes, prices are $500 or less if they are in bad condition. They are great for parts. I have seen several free mobile homes.

It's a lot of work to get rid of the mobile home. It would probably take all week to break it down and you need space to do it. But I like the idea.

Pennyg, To answer your question. Any one of the three can be used where one was, with no modifications.. NC, You got that right and before you know it,you end up with one of these $1800 +- trash piles. Not to mention saw blades used up cutting the floors into manageable for you and acceptable sizes for the dump.
