So what do y'all think one is? I can't find an imperial palace to save my soul ~ maybe it's rare? At any rate, it's up at Island Park, in Idaho, by Henry's Lake. Can anyone identify this? Here is the link ~ eastidaho.craigslist.org/rvs/5222805447.html
Well i can't get the dang link to hotlink. Maybe someone else knows how to?

Yes, & i could not identify it! I looked at all the spartan models & it isn't any of them, at least, not with that window front & the fiberglass roof. It's up in Island Park, too, which means it is probably in very good condition. (Pretty ritzy up there.) Thanks for making the link work! :-D

I believe the window front is some kind of rubberized type paint like bedliner paint to seal the window and make accent edging. The sliding glass door imho is DEFINITELY not original. I think it is probably a mid to late 50's Spartan Imperial Mansion. I'd also guess that does not have a fiberglass roof...that is...dare I say it...white cool coat. No manufacturer that knows how to craft that aluminum body is going to fiberglass the roof. Modified and gunked Imperial Mansion in my opinion. Ad says ALL ALUMINUM trailer/studio...why no interior photos? Because it has also (imo) been modified (partly gutted) for a more open floor plan, to reflect being an artsy f*rtsy artist's studio. Might be just right as an artist's retreat for a new buyer.

Ahhhh, i see! Well, that clarifies a lot ~ i never even considered cool coat. I did, however, see a model of spartan with a sliding glass door....i'll go look for that link.

You found the right thread. That Carousel is one of the two most iconic Atomic Spartans built, the other being the Crescendo both built in 1959 I believe! In my opinion one of the coolest vintage trailers ever produced. Their interiors just blow me away. That sliding glass door is original. How could it not be? zafureport.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/img_79972.jpgAgain in the Imperial Palace ad the viewer should think "how could that be original?" That sliding glass door looks like it was salvaged from room 112 at some 1950's 20 room Mom 'n Pop motel, when it was demolished.

LOL! So, not a rare piece, then, eh? Too bad. Well, one thing, it IS up in Island Park, so it's probably in really nice condition, despite the cheap add-on glass doors. Land up there is NOT cheap.

That area should produce someone who has the asking price as disposable income for an artist's studio. It is probably positioned well, to simply be sold and moved to a different pricy piece of recreational property. Win Win for buyer and seller. Don't think it will travel far to it's new home.

Yep that's a modified Imperial Mansion. There were a some very handy air craft and construction workers back in the day who would modified these things. One guy actually wrote to Spartan and got detailed plans from them along with the parts so he could modify his to become a second story addition and he did such a beautiful job on it that it looked like it came from the factory like that. We had the video of that trailer up here a while back.
