I just purchased a 1970 Ideal Travel trailer, and haven't taken possession of it yet. But looking at the rock guard/front shield, it is made of a funky material that I cannot identify. It must be replaced. Does anyone know what material this guard is made of, and/or what it could appropriately be replaced with? Thanks!

Stainless steel, aluminum or fiberglass/plastic pole barn sheets. The sky is the limit use what ever gives you the look you like. If you search this board you will see many different solutions. Have fun and enjoy your new trailer. Be safe, check out all mechanicals before you use it you can research that here also.

That's what it is, fiberglass! Ok thanks. I did do a search, but only found one reference and it wasn't helpful! Thanks so much, I'll get better at hunting things down in this forum, I'm sure!
