So when we plug in to 110, we get the a.c. working, possibly the refrigerator, but no interior lights work. What's going on? Everything...ok, both switches... on the fuse panel are currently in the on position. We don't have a battery hooked up, but neither did the PO in the picture they took from the exterior with the interior lights on. Could something be loose or broken? I'm really at a loss as to why they don't work.

Is there a power converter? If so, it may have blown a fuse.

I'll open the panel...but I haven't seen a converter anywhere. I ordered one and I need to fiGure out how to hook it up. 12volt is beyond my understanding at this point. I have a nasty bit of wiring to figure out at the front by where the battery goes.
As soon as my husband gets home, I'll try to figure out the fuse box and look for anything resembling a converter.

I need to run some new wiring for the fantastic fan and a few other things, do I start at the fuse box or tha battery and use a switch?

My bet is also on the fuse box. Either that or water (leaks covered in another thread) corroded the connection point at the first box in the circuit.

So we plugged it in and the majority of the lights are working, I didn't personally test them, my husband did, so possibly he wasn't thorough about checking. The ceiling lights in the middle don't come on so I think there are two divisions of lights, the 110 and the 12v. Will the battery operate the other lights if we are off grid....I think saying boondocking sound like I'm a fussy mansion rv person who lives for hook ups...the electrical and water kind of hook ups.
Here is my handy dandy fuse box<a href="http://s1310.photobucket.com/user/candy59cars/media/IMG_20150917_184459_zps554vymt6.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s645/candy59cars/IMG_20150917_184459_zps554vymt6.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20150917_184459_zps554vymt6.jpg"/></a>
And the cover which has some useful information on a sticker

My linoleum eats other people's linoleum for breakfast...it's textured and robust.
Anyway, do I need to put a converter in there? I get a really eerie feeling that this stuff is under the bathroom sink and next to the shower. Why not put it in a forward access panel?

The box pictured is a "load center" or "breaker box", entirely 110. Older trailers often had a separate 12 volt system with no converter. Most lighting was 110.
Take some time and decide what you need in the trailer. If you won't be boondocking, the 12 volt system isn't as important. Off grid, solar might come in handy.

We hooked up an inverter with our other trailer, some system my husband rigged up with a battery. I felt spoiled that we had power while camping.
Since the 12v is there I would like to use it, will I need a converter? I already bought one thinking it would be good to replace the old one, but I see no signs of an original. Would it work with this old system or do I need to rewire or wire it into the 110 box? Is there a fuse panel hiding somewhere for the 12v?
We camp at state parks almost exclusively, hook ups are really nice, but we don't really feel like we are camping when there are fifty other trailers and giant rvs surrounding us... the thing that I love about an rv park is the water hook up! Using a hand pump for a week is torture!
I'm excited about what I have heard about the refrigerator and the propane/12v combo, that it uses almost no propane and very little battery, so you can leave it on for a while. We have a super quiet Honda generator for recharging the battery too.

I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about 12v, but will everything work with 12v or just a few lights and the fridge? Is the water pump and water heater generally two way? If I hook up a converter, does that basically activate the 110 system?
