Mr. Mobiltec, this one is for you ~ do you sell that stuff that you showed in your video that removes the silicone caulking? We're gonna be needing that soon, & i was hoping if you don't sell it, you would at least know where to get it. It looked like it worked pretty awesomely in the video.

I learned today the easy way to remove silicone from the metal siding. Buy a 4 1/2 angle grinder from Harbor Freight and put a wire brush on it. Be sure to get stiff wire but not Knotted wire. The guy I bought my camper from blobbed silicone every where and he made no attempt to smooth it out to make it look nice. All big blobs I sliced off with a razor blade. Lots of places on the trailer the guy wiped his finders to remove silicone from his fingers this left paper thin streaks of silicone all over the trailer. The finger smears are almost impossible to remove with every thing I tried but this wire bush removes them in seconds.

I believe I am going to try this! I cam see this working really nicely. And for someone like me who has no patience and ability for tedious things this will be good! Thanks for that suggestion

Didn't the wire brush scratch the skin?

I'm thinking a wire brush is way too rough on aluminum. I try to re-use/save the original skins whenever possible and learned the hard way about being too aggressive...

The RE-mov product is for people who want to save their paint and or aluminum. It removes silicone calking completely and leaves no residue while causing no damage to the paint. But if you don't care about that you could use a belt sander...
