If given the choice I would pay the double price for domestic.... When you have problems that don't show up till after you install it makes a person want to cry first, then hurt people later.

Mobiltec, I agree completely.
We're being robbed. The overseas produces come to market and set the price the same as domestic, the domestic see that the overseas product stinks so they double their price. Highway robbery.
With that said, I ordered 20 pieces and the mill in SC produced it for me. 14 pieces look great, 4 have knots I can work around (but are outrageous on A grade birch), and 2 are barely usable with dark colored knots in several places. But as promised, I took all 20.
$900 with tax for birch. They should do the decent thing and hold a gun on me while I sign the Credit card slip.
The east coast is a tough place to be with this as a hobby.
