I was thinking that my table leg was original, but the more i look at it, I don't think it is opinions? photos? and its painted! blah!

The leg looks correct, however that piece screwed to the top isn't. It should have just a hinge at the top which screws to the table. The hole in the bottom of the leg is for a hook to secure the leg to the floor so it doesn't accidently get knocked back and collapse the table. The original hinge was light aluminum and not strong enough to handle the table and leg connection.
