I was going to go with the traditional wedding cake lights for my trailer, but I am doing a starburst theme throughout including the custom starburst fabric which I designed for my windows, starburst dishes etc. So I decided to break with my... "Must be how it was" rule and bought these 1963 Galaxy tail lights for my trailer. They are new old stock, so the chrome is great and I think they will look awesome. part of my decision came from attending a vintage car show and being intrigued by the street rods people had done up and some of the fun custom stuff. I realized I was being way too serious with my trailer restoration. I am now going with Ten's rule... "It's your trailer do what you want with it"!!

I like them!!! My camper is the only Vanbrook that I have ever seen, and it had all sorts of awful things done to it, so I was set free of the need to restore right from the beginning. Half the fun is finding cool stuff and putting it to use.
Have fun with your "renovation"!!!

Well Vikx, I have a large box of stuff I bought and changed my mind about, or I stripped it off of the camper. It's coming to my first rally to sell ...

Yes! Finally, some custom tail lights! I thought I was the only one who was going that route. I am thinking of 59 Cadillac tail lights because they're crazy, but those are really cool too.
I come from the classic car enthusiasts world, so I see the need to customize as a right of ownership. Take a picture when they're installed.
By the way, why does nobody pinstripe these massive surfaces?

Nice, I like them, I went with a classic looking lens with eyebrows, then converted them to LED, I love doing the custom stuff, its mine the way I want it.

Lady W, Love, love, love that look. I had also been thinking of doing something similar. What did you do of the taillight housing? Did you also find trim rings?

They did not need trim rings as they have screw holes. I am going to likely order new housings from Vintage Trailer Parts. I think they are close to the standard wedding cake size ones.
