Check your local Lowes/Home Depot lighting section for a match or new ones that are similar.

Yes they offer many globes and parts plus complete lamps that can provide a vintage look as is or with a little modification for a reasonable amount of money.

But I just had a thought. The rear and front globe in the Compact are different shaped globes anyway. Why try to make them match? The one in the back is more round (gives you that bedroom feeling) and the kitchen one is kind of barrel shaped.

These were the two lights in my '69 Compact. Both bases were the same even though the lamps had been changed. (Actually I believe only the shades had been changed, which was common....) Makes me believe the originals looked like this: These cone shades would become brittle and end up breaking. That is not to say using two different types to break up the small space is a bad idea though...

Second generation Compacts have what I consider a shade, rather than a globe . My '65 has two which both look like Ten's second pic. I'm not that crazy about that style. Reminds me of the ugly pole lamp we had when I was a kid.

If you think the shades are ugly you won't believe how ugly the prices get for them on ebay...well SusieQ, you do know, but many new Members will not believe what they will have to lay out to replace the ones that are broken or have real big, real ugly burn marks in them when a PO decided to ignore the warning not to use more than 60 watt bulbs. On my first gen compact it almost seems like the front globe over the zink (as we Mississipians call them) directs/concentrates the light more downward and the rear globe diffuses the light in all directions in the back. That is why I think they are different.

That might be what I end up doing anyways because I just got this one at a different thrift store.
