Hello New to the forum and to travel trailers. I bought this thing two years ago, not sure if I regret it yet or not. It's in decent shape inside for it's age but is has issues. The discharge pipe for the blackwater tank broke off at the flange while on the highway last summer and was quoted more than I paid for the camper to fix it professionally. I guess I'm just looking for ideas to get it fixed on the cheap. ![](http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o750/10Thumbs/KIMG0312_zpsrnbo8hy0.jpg)

There are many factors to consider with a break like that, so an impossibly-high quote certainly would not seem out of line. Unless you like the prospect of being "elbows-deep"....okay not literally....oh alright POSSIBLY literally... in such a do-it-yourself project, take the quote for what it is worth.
One way of seeing this is that you got a helluva deal on the camper in the first place...if such a repair seems like such a large percentage of what you paid in the first place.
The only thing I'd say for certain is that it is a beautiful vehicle, and certainly will be worth the efforts to fix it, even if it costs a bit. We'll all roll up our sleeves and try to help come up with something that works.

Welcome Tenthumbs!
Long, tall drinka watah trailer there...
Plumbing is pretty basic. Replace the tank (or not) and the fittings. Nowadays, the fittings are Valterra black ABS. Used to be white Thetfords. Getting hard to find and expensive. Switch out to Valterra when you do repairs.
