I have had a lot of trouble with wasps building nests in the hollow part of the back of my shasta wings. Any body else have that problem, or a solution to the problem? I was thinking of attaching a screen to the back. That might work, but I want it to look good too. Darn wasps!

Mine had dirt dauber nests in them. I'm going to cover mine with thin piece of aluminum flashing.

I did a search on the interweb for natural wasp repellents and came up with the general consensus that hanging fake wasp nests deter new wasp colonies from building in that "hood", but that nothing in the way of natural repellents can be applied to the inside of your wings to deter a return of the wasps. I think SusieQ has the best solution. Aluminum flashing is inexpensive and easily shaped/worked with inexpensive shears or even "sturdy" scissors.
