I think I know the answer to this, but just want to confirm. I am at the point of ordering, new marker lights, side lights and tail lights for my trailer as they were all broken, or replaced with ugly modern ones. My trailer has 3 lights at the top front, 3 at the top rear, and two marker lights on each side of the trailer. It appears that the front lights may have been clear glass as there was a broken one in the drawer, but I will not likely go clear again. I am thinking that all the lights on the front top and front side should be amber, and all the lights on the rear top, and rear side should be red. Is this correct? Or is there some other way of doing it? Thanks

You are correct. Amber on front portion of trailer, red on rear. Same as on a car.

State DMV website and most likely the Canadian regulatory should also be on line, would confirm what is required for modern application, and what is allowed for older "vintage"...but I believe you have the formula down pat anyway!

I agree with ten check your laws for your area. Better safe than sorry, doing it right is cheaper than doing it over.
